Bernd Schröder (Head Coach Turbine Potsdam) |

POTSDAM, 14 Oct (SW) - On sunday Turbine Potsdam plays Valur Reykjavik in the second leg of the UEFA Women's Cup quarter final. The first match Turbine won by 1-8. Time for some quotes from todays press conference.
The last home match in the Karl Liebknecht Stadium Potsdam was on 28th
August, when Turbine played Hamburg (1-1). Turbine Coach Bernd Schröder said, that "the team is burning with impatience to show a good match after a so long time". On the other side Valur Reykjavik wants to make a better game than in Iceland. Coach Elisabet Gunnarsdottir still could not understand how Turbine could "make 8 goals out of 9 chances", while Valur "made only 1 out of 6". So she hopes for a better defending and more luck in front of the goal. She promises: "We will do our best to reach a better result."
Schröder knows, that Margret Lara Vidarsdottir will be the most dangerous player: "She is an interesting player for every team of the Bundesliga. We will mark her by two players, although it won't be enough every time." Karolin Thomas (acute hearing loss) will not play on Sunday. If Ariane Hingst can play (influenza), is still unclear. That Turbine will reach the semi final, is nearly clear. So Aferdita Podvorica still said: "We would be stupid, if we would not reach the next round now - and that won't happen."
