POTSDAM, 31 Oct (SW) - On match day eight of the German Bundesliga Turbine had no problems to defeat SC Freiburg. The women from Potsdam won by four goals to nil, to not loose sight of FFC Frankfurt and FCR Duisburg.

Turbine started powerful with to early chances by Navina Omilade (5') and Anja Mittag (7'), who hit the bar. The first goal was of Ariane Hingst with a great volley shot (11'). Ten minutes later Petra Wimbersky and Mittag had the chances to score the 2-0, but Alexandra Schwald saved two times. In the first half nothing more happened. Freiburgs defence was standing firm, but on the other side the Forwards had no chances to score.

In the second half Turbine played much better. Wimbersky scored the 2-0 after a pass from Hingst (49'). Pohlers scored the 3-0 after a mistake in the defence (60'). Five minutes later Pohlers hit the post, from where the ball rebounded to Wimbersky, who scored the 4-0. Then lots of chances for Turbine Potsdam to make the result bigger, but no goals followed. The best chance for Freiburg was for Melanie Behringer, who shot the ball past the goal in the 87th minute.
