OSLO, Oct 10 (SW) - The titlerace for the Norwegian championship is still open. This weekend Kolbotn won their easy game against lowranked Liungen by 8-1, but more important Team Strømmen won late at Røa. It was the second time in four days that Team Strømmen came back from 0-2 down to win a match 3-2.

The match in Oslo opens with a struggle to get hold of the game. In this struggle Team Strømmens captain gets an elbow (which was not an intended one) and get's down for a couple of minutes. After that Røa gets hold of the game and scored two times, caused by some defensive and goalkeeping fouls. Røa kept the pressure for a while and produced a couple of chances. But then Team Strømmen strike back in the 27th minute, a corner of Maritha Kaufmann goes directly towards the goal. The rest of the first half is for Team Strømmen and Maritha Kaufmann balances the result just before half time with her second goal.

In the second half Røa starts on with a hard pressure, but the ball just won't hit the goal only posts and bars around it. In the end the pressure results in much counter attacks, one them ends in the goal in the 76th minute. Monica Knudsen gets the ball 25 meters outside the goal and fires off a shot. Via Røas defender it changes direction and it goes right into the left crosscorner for Røas goalkeeper. Røa keeps on the pressure through final minutes of the game, but never gets the ball into the net. The result seals Team Strømmen at least the silver medal for this season.

Kolbotn won their match against already relegated Liungen with 8-1. Isabell Herlovsen scored twice within the first half hour, Liungen put one back, but after the 3-1 by Ingunn Bente Sørum the game was deadlocked. The 265 spectators in the end saw five extra goals after the tea. The wins of both teams make the Norwegian league exciting, with saturday the final clash between Kolbotn and Team Strømmen at Strømmens home venue.
