OSLO, 6 Oct (SW) - Team Strømmen took a giant step towards silver medals in the Norwegian league by beating Trondheims-Ørn 3-2 on Wednesday.

Trondheims-Ørn was lucky to take an early 2-0 lead, because Strømmen had the most changes. The first goal went directly into the net from a corner kick by Trine Nordgård, and the second was a loose pass from the left flank which the Strømmen goalkeeper should have saved easily.

Strømmen, however, was the best team, and came back and equalized to 2-2. First Rhian Wilkinson made the 1-2 and then the 2-2 after a corner kick in the last seconds of the first half. Strømmen was also far better than Trondheims-Ørn in the second half, Team Strømmens goalkeeper didn't have any problems.

After much changes Strømmen finally scored the game-winning goal by Lene Storløkken. A goal that was very deserved but came late (72th minute).

Team Strømmen still has a theoretical chance to win the league, if they beat Kolbotn on Oct 15, so the league is tight untill the bitter end. Trondheims-Ørn, on the other hand, must beat Fløya in the next round to be in position for bronze medals.
