PRAGUE, Feb 2 (SW) - Sparta Prague have acquired Thun's Swiss international striker Mauro Lustrinelli after the player agreed to a deal through the summer of 2008.

Lustrinelli, 29, helped Thun all the way from the second qualifying round of the Champions League into the group stage where they played two matches against Sparta, including a victory.

Sparta, who sit a dismal ninth in the Czech Gambrinus Liga, need help with their attacking and manager Stanislav Griga says Lustrinelli is a great fit. "We wanted a seasoned player whom we can trust to lead the line - and Mauro fulfills both criteria," said Griga.

Lustrinelli will arrive in the Czech Republic on Friday to officially sign the deal and will forfeit his chance to play in the UEFA Cup with Thun.
